High Speed Network First-stage Alarm Correlator

چکیده
At the heart of fault management is alarm correlation. The approach that is used in commercial telecom systems, as specified by international standards, is correlation through monitoring, filtering and masking event alarms. This is vital since it reduces the amount of event instances presented, the symptoms of the fault. The next objective is to automatically present the actual fault. Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers the potential of determining the fault or multiple faults, yet AI has its own problems including dealing with the vast amounts of potential variations in the data. Not least of these problems is the mistrust, by engineers, in the ’non-deterministic’ AI results produced. This paper presents a simple first-stage alarm correlator to reduce the data for both induction and deduction.

Research on Management of Mobile Communication Network Centralized Alarm
This paper, starting from the level of mobile communication network alarm management, comes up with the alarm types and the six-stage model. The paper also discusses the step of recessive maintenance and management from the perspective of mobile communication in terms of the effective control of network alarms, and also extends the network equipment alarm logic correlation to the logical level ...
متن کاملe-VLBI... a Wide-field Imaging Instrument with Milliarcsecond Resolution & microJy Sensitivity
The European VLBI Network (EVN) is in the process of establishing an e-VLBI array in which the radio telescopes and the EVN correlator at JIVE are connected in real-time, via high-speed national fibre optic networks and the pan-European research network, GÉANT. This paper reports on recent test results, including the production of the first real-time e-VLBI astronomical image. In a parallel and...
متن کاملFCNP: Fast I/O on the Blue Gene/P
This paper describes the Fast Collective-Network Protocol (FCNP). FCNP is a low-overhead, high-bandwidth network protocol that we developed for fast communication between the Blue Gene/P compute nodes and I/O nodes. The CPU cores in this system are hardly able to keep up with the high-speed internal network, and any protocol overhead significantly slows down the achieved bandwidths. FCNP minimi...
متن کاملUsing Context-Based Correlation in Network Operations and Management
Network operation consists to a large degree of reaction to activities happening in the network. Better knowledge of the network at any time allows more appropriate reactions. On the example of intrusion detection, we show how context-based correlation of such activities can provide a more detailed view of the network in shorter time. We first present how we model context and then describe the ...
متن کاملPractical implementation of a high-speed multichannel correlator with fiber-optic delays.
We discuss architecture, subsystems, and applications of a multichannel digital correlator we constructed by using a combination of optical and electrical delays. Our system is capable of a 1-ns bin width in normal operation, when a derandomizer is used at the input stage and a 0.25-ns bin width when the derandomizer is bypassed. When switchable delay lines are used, the 16 real-time channels c...
